October 3-7 | Starting at $500Welcome to the Procedure Corner
A resident-led initiative designed to provide opportunities for deliberate practice outside of direct patient care
Clinical exposure alone does not always provide enough repetition to develop and maintain procedural proficiency. This station is intended to supplement clinical learning by providing a low-stakes environment to practice core technical skills, reinforce equipment familiarity, and build procedural confidence.
The Procedure Corner features a quarterly rotating curriculum, allowing residents to revisit essential procedural skills throughout the academic year:
Quarter 1: Airway Management
Quarter 2: Vascular Access
Quarter 3: Lumbar Puncture & Neuraxial Procedures
Quarter 4: Resuscitation Skills
Each quarter includes dedicated simulation equipment, learning objectives, curated educational resources, and opportunities for self-directed deliberate practice. Residents are encouraged to return throughout the quarter to refine their technique, reinforce best practices, and maintain procedural readiness.
Quarter I 2026: Airway Fundamentals
General Paediatrics
Neonatal orotracheal intubation
Paediatric orotracheal intubation
Paediatrics–Anaesthesiology
Nasotracheal intubation
Practice at your own pace. Even 10–15 minutes of focused repetition can improve familiarity and readiness.
